Essential: Minimum of 2 years within EHS, experience of Dutch safety regulations, ideally from medical device, pharma or manufacturing

Lead occupational safety and/or industrial hygiene support to a moderate size business location, serving as the health and safety contact for site management, or lead safety, industrial hygiene or ergonomics program component at a large, complex location or multiple locations. Under general supervision, provide leadership to site and management for the establishment and maintenance of robust processes to identify, evaluate and control risk in the workplace.

You will act as a key technical leader, ensuring that our workplace remains a benchmark for safety, compliance, and employee well-being.

This will involve:

• Provide leadership as the key health & safety contact for site and management at a moderate size business location, or lead safety or industrial hygiene program component at a large, complex location or multiple locations; or provide ergonomics leadership to site and management at multiple large business locations

• Evaluate, plan and implement occupational safety, industrial hygiene and/or ergonomics programs at a moderate size business location; under general supervision, take projects requiring advanced knowledge of occupational safety, industrial hygiene and/or ergonomics from identification of potential risk to analysis of the level of risk to the implementation of appropriate control measures. 

• Develop and/or deliver technical training and H&S awareness programs in support of company’s hazard/risk profile. This is to include partnering with Health Services staff to complement and support efforts to provide awareness education and intervention programs that encourage healthy lifestyles

• Assure the development of an approach to occupational safety, industrial hygiene and/or ergonomics management issues consistent with regulatory requirements and J&J policy

• Monitor the progress of management action plans, providing leadership, technical support and professional expertise to ensure corporate, business franchise and site goals are met; assure all records are properly maintained and reports are prepared/submitted in a timely manner.

We are looking for a resourceful and creative professional who can balance technical compliance with the practical constraints of a high-performance business environment.

You will also bring:

• Technical knowledge of occupational safety and industrial hygiene and/or ergonomic program components.

• Proven experience in identifying, evaluating and controlling safety and industrial hygiene risks in the workplace.

• A BA/BS in a Science or Technical Field.

• Minimum of 2 years plus years of related experience.

• Strong customer focus and the ability to interact with senior management and regulatory agencies.
