Location: Schaffhausen - onsite  Switzerland 

Duration of the contract: 31st December (likely to be extended ) 

Hours per week: 80–100% - onsite role

We are looking for a motivated Facilities Project Engineer to join our team in Schaffhausen. In this role, you will be the driving force behind small to medium-scale refurbishment projects, ensuring our facilities remain state-of-the-art while operating within a highly regulated GxP environment.

roles and responsibilities 

You will be responsible for the end-to-end planning and execution of facilities construction and refurbishment projects within scope, schedule, cost, and safety targets.

This will involve:

  • Plan and execute facilities construction and refurbishment projects within scope, schedule, cost, quality, and safety targets

  • Typical project types include office refurbishments, kitchen and canteen refurbishments, and layout changes in existing buildings due to changes in use

  • Manage projects from initial scoping and basic design through execution and final handover

  • Prepare project scopes, schedules, cost estimates, and execution plans

  • Coordinate and supervise external contractors, craftsmen, and service providers

  • Provide hands-on construction site management in active, occupied buildings

  • Ensure safe execution of works in compliance with EHS, GxP, and site requirements

  • Coordinate contractor activities with internal stakeholders

  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, EHS, Operations, and Quality Engineering

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within Facilities Management



how to succeed 


You are a technically minded individual who thrives in a dynamic, "live" manufacturing environment and possesses the organizational skills to manage multiple moving parts.

You will also bring:

  • An Engineering degree (e.g. civil, mechanical, electrical, facilities, or comparable discipline)

  • Fluent German (main working language) and very good English skills

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • A "hands-on" mentality and comfort working on active construction sites

  • Experience in construction management or refurbishment projects is preferred but not required

  • Willingness to learn and develop in a regulated (GxP) manufacturing environment

  • Entry-level candidates with strong technical aptitude are welcome
