MES Training Specialist 

Location: Schaffhausen Site. 

Duration: 12 months (January 2027 start likely)

Hours: 40 hours per week

You must be fluent in German and English, both written and spoken for this position.

Role purpose 

Enable the successful deployment and sustainable adoption of PAS-X by translating manufacturing processes and system functionality into practical, role-based learning, user readiness activities, and go-live support.

roles and responsibilities

• Analyse capability and training needs with project managers, process owners, subject-matter experts, Manufacturing, Quality, IT, Automation, and Validation.

• Translate manufacturing processes, approved procedures, and PAS-X functionality into role-based learning objectives, curricula, and practical user guidance.

• Develop and maintain instructor-led and digital learning content, exercises, presentations, simulations, quick-reference guides, manuals, and other support materials.

• Plan, coordinate, and deliver classroom, group, individual, and hands-on PAS-X training for production employees, support functions, key users, and internal trainers.

• Assess learning effectiveness and user readiness through knowledge checks, practical exercises, observations, feedback, and readiness reporting.

• Provide floor-level support during deployment and hypercare, coaching users and resolving or routing process- and system-related questions.

• Capture recurring user challenges and work with relevant teams to improve training, documentation, business processes, or system configuration.

• Maintain training records, completion status, evaluation results, capability gaps, risks, and progress reports in line with applicable quality requirements

how to succeed

• Fluent German and English, both written and spoken.

• Degree or comparable qualification in engineering, life sciences, IT, business administration, educational sciences, or a related field.

• (3+ years of experience) Experience developing and delivering technical, process-based, or system training; experience with PAS-X or another MES is strongly preferred.

• Understanding of manufacturing processes and the ability to independently connect operational workflows with system functionality.

• Experience in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or other regulated manufacturing environment is preferred; GxP knowledge is an advantage.

• Experience supporting system implementation, change, go-live preparation, hypercare, train-the-trainer activities, or key-user networks is beneficial.

• Strong instructional design, adult-learning, facilitation, coaching, communication, and presentation skills.

• Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented working style, with strong collaboration skills and attention to documentation quality.

This contract will run for a 12 month duration.
