As a Process Engineer at Johnson & Johnson, you'll be at the heart of our operations, maintaining and improving production processes while leading supportive processes to ensure continuous improvement. You'll work closely with management and operations to drive decisions regarding process engineering and methods, aiming to produce comprehensive processes, operational efficiencies, and alignment with production goals. Your effective communication skills will be key as you interact with both internal and external customers. We're looking for someone with experience in pharma, new product introductions, tech transfer methods, and downstream operations, who understands protein manufacturing.
Roles and Responsibilities
Your expertise will be essential in implementing Operations unit objectives, such as the introduction of new production processes and systems, and ensuring the smooth operation of existing processes. This will involve:
Supervising and continuously assessing the process to ensure it operates within validated and regulatory limits, achieving expected output/yield.
Collaborating with multi-functional teams to develop strategies and implement improvements to minimize downtime and losses.
Leading the management of data collection, analysis, and reporting to drive continuous process improvement.
Initiating, driving, and leading process improvements in collaboration with partners.
Supporting formal issue processes to highlight risks related to safety, product quality, and regulatory compliance.
Serving as the go-to guide for sophisticated Product Impact Assessments and Change Control designs, from initiation to completion.
Conducting Gemba walks to view the process performed by the manufacturing operators and leading sustainable improvements to enhance safety, quality, reliability, cost, and scheduling.
Engaging in Continuous Process Verification (CPV) activities by providing information and performing additional research.
How to Succeed
We would love to hear from you if you have a relevant University degree or equivalent experience with 5-8 years of experience in pharma. You should be active in the life sciences and have experience in both manufacturing and operations. You will also bring:
DSP operations process engineering experience
NPI tech transfer knowledge
Dutch A2 and English C1 language levels.
Intermediate proficiency in MS Office, routine proficiency in data analysis, and specialist proficiency in business applications.
A positive attitude, proactivity, decisiveness, and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong analytical thinking, with the ability to handle complexity, ask questions, use data, identify gaps and root causes of issues, and think creatively to develop solutions.
Stress-resilience, maintaining calm under all circumstances, flexibility, and the ability to handle changing priorities.
Knowledge of MES (Manufacturing Execution System) is also a plus.
Understanding of protein manufacturing.
