Within the Surgery franchise of Johnson & Johnson, we develop surgical and interventional solutions that center on the unique journey of every patient, and help to discover more efficient, groundbreaking pathways to healing.

The risk of bleeding during surgery is increasing due to patient factors including a growing number of comorbidities like diabetes, COPD, and cancer; medications such as anticoagulants and antiplatelets; age and complex surgeries. Our Biosurgery hemostatic products help to control or stop bleeding during surgery, promoting a safer surgical environment and improving patient outcomes. As a Biosurgery Sales Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in driving business performance, expanding market share, and turning clinical stakeholders into enthusiastic advocates for our brand. You will join a collaborative regional team of 5 sales consultants across Oncology, Obesity, and Wound Closure.

roles and responsibilities 

You will sell innovative Biosurgery products to existing and new customers to grow the business on the territory, delivering value-driven care and advanced technical support directly within the surgical ecosystem.

This will involve:

  • Sell innovative Biosurgery products to existing and new customers to grow the business on the territory

  • Value-driven care is one of the pillars within healthcare in the Netherlands. J&J is therefore looking for people who can not only sell the product but also the added value

  • Customer-centric approach, understanding their needs, and building strong relationships to deliver sustained value and support to our customers

  • Facilitating in hospital trainings to surgeons, specialists, nurses, and operating theater management through hands-on sessions to increase product knowledge and to enhance understanding to use our products for the right bleedings at the right time

  • Offering specialized guidance and expert advice on the optimal use of our products in various surgical procedures

  • Generating sales analyses and proactively adapt plans to enhance overall sales performance

  • Contribute to the successful launch of two of our newest innovations in the field of hemostats


how to succeed 

You are a sales-driven, charismatic commercial professional with a can-do mentality, high emotional intelligence, and the clinical credibility required to command respect inside the operating theater.

You will also bring:

  • At least 1-3 years of experience in hospital sales (with a strong preference for >3 years)

  • Self-starter who works independently, takes the lead in identifying opportunities and connects easily with a diversity of stakeholders

  • Driven by results, excellence, and a passion for business accomplishments

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, demonstrated through relevant work experience

  • Native speaking Dutch and fluent in English both written and speaking

  • Driving license category B

  • Living in the southern Netherlands region

  • Knowledge and relations in the spine or cardiovascular field

  • Knowledge and understanding of the Dutch healthcare system
