Brand Manager

An exciting 12-month opportunity has become available to join a dynamic team as a Brand Manager within the Haematology Franchise.

Main responsibilities will include:

 

External Environment Scanning and Networking

  • Meet with and build partnerships with key external partners to develop insights on the NHS and external environment, including desk research, attend congresses etc
  • Develop relationships with Leading Specialists by visiting them in the field or virtually to drive brand and company advocacy, trust, and transparency.
  • Identify and develop partnership programmes with Leading Specialists, influence them to speak at events.
  • Provide feedback on policy insights to Core Value Team (CVT) Lead

Strategy Development and direction (within therapy area)

  • Use appropriate tools and cross-functional inputs to produce situational analysis
  • Contribute to building strategy by advising on current product trends in conjunction with CVT leads
  • Determine targeting and segmentation strategies.
  • Map disease pathway and value pools to develop services and solutions to improve outcomes
  • In a pre-launch situation:
  • Lead the development of the overall market access strategy for approval by CVTL
  • Support National Manager for Regional Access team in providing direction
  • Producing marketing materials for Regional Access team to use i.e. Advance notification materials, funding business cases

Produce tactical business plan in collaboration with key team members

  • Commission market research through internal market research dept
  • Analyse primary & secondary market research and business intelligence
  • Lead workshop with CVT to brainstorm solutions and tactics, produce critical success factors and key tactics to achieve success
  • Present tactical plan to CVT team and European Product Managers (EPM)
  • Use business tools to implement the brand plan and bring together and use market information
  • Communicate issues with key team members via verbal and written communication and business meetings

Financial Business planning

  • Development of Business Plan forecasts for CVT lead approval
  • Produce marketing budget based on tactical plan

Setting metrics and monitoring

  • Define brand metrics around specific marketing projects and supervise taking appropriate action.
  • Optimally manage the marketing budget to avoid under/overspend and phase spend effectively.
  • Analyse sales data to compare to forecast and adjust where vital
  • Supervise market trends and propose appropriate actions to address issues
  • Input into monthly forecast review meetings to manage demand forecast

Partner with EMEA to craft and influence strategies, plans and tactics

  • Network with EPM’s in EMEA region functional network group and craft the region messages, co-creation, share standard methodologies, supervise progress and success

Lead marketing and sales teams

  • Produce a clear direction for the Brand by sharing strategic & tactical plans for the Brand with the marketing and sales teams
  • Line manage marketing team members. This may include the Marketing Assistant, Associate Product Manager and Product Manager

 

As a Senior Product Manager, you will have previous experience of:

 

  • Communicating effectively and regularly with field teams and cross-functional brand team via verbal and written communication and business meetings to encourage and empower them, align their activities behind the plan and gain feedback
  • Chair brand CVT meetings and supervise workstreams addressing key business issues
  • Contribute to product training and conferences as subject matter authority
  • Line management experience
  • Coordinate implementation of tactical plans via direct and indirect channels
  • Develop and project manage sales and marketing materials, non-promotional, promotional materials and marketing and communications campaigns by liaising with creative agencies and Promo material companies
  • Liaise with Med Affairs to ensure all marketing activities and materials comply with current relevant guidelines
  • Plan marketing mix to optimise all available channels from budget and message perspective identify and propose additional channel strategies and tactics
  • Manage agency in conjunction with procurement to give best value for money
