Finance Analyst Contractor


Location: Wokingham, Pinewood 

Duration: 6 months

Hours: Full time


We are engaging a UK-based Senior Finance Analyst Contractor for a 6 month assignment to support the Local GAAP Operations workstream as part of LE/MRC Operations under the SigniFi Finance Transformation program. The role will focus on supporting key project activities, including Statutory ledger reconciliation, issue analysis, reporting support and co-ordination with internal finance teams and external partners.

In this global-facing role, you will support the delivery of activities that contribute to the transformation of Johnson & Johnson’s local Statutory Financial Reporting processes under SigniFi. Potential candidates will have had exposure to statutory reporting and accounting in a previous or current role. Project experience is beneficial but not mandatory. 

roles and responsibilities

  • Support the business set-up and reconciliation of the parallel local GAAP ledger (L1) in Central Finance. 

  • Reconcile data between ERPs, Central Finance and Local Statutory Financial Statements.

  • Investigate and document reconciliation differences, issues and risk areas.

  • Support reporting solutions that simplify and standardize finance processes.

  • Partner with local Finance teams, PwC and Deloitte to gather inputs, validate outputs and resolve queries.

  • Provide timely updates on progress, open items, risks and blockers.

  • Support execution of agreed project activities and deadlines.

  • Support wider team members on ad-hoc project and operational tasks, as required


how to succeed

Experience and Skills:Required:
  • Relevant finance, accounting or business experience, including in Statutory reporting

  • Strong reconciliation & analytical skills

  • Proficient English

  • Understanding of US GAAP, Local GAAP adjustments and statutory reporting processes

  • Experience working with SAP or complex ERP environments

  • Strong Excel and data-handling skills

  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines

  • Clear verbal and written communication skills

  • Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-moving project environments


Preferred:
  • Experience with finance transformation projects

  • Exposure working with multiple ERPs or complex system landscapes

  • Experience partnering with external audit or co-sourcing providers
