roles and responsibilities

• Development and deployment of modelling solutions (data driven and mechanistic) for the application in real time release of pharmaceutical products.

• Building real-time monitoring models to support various manufacturing processes. 

• Providing modelling support for real time release and investigations to identify process optimizations and/or root cause analysis. 

• Contribute to the development and deployment of various models (data-driven and mechanistic) used directly in manufacturing processes.

• Identify, develop and implement process improvement initiatives

• Apply creative solutions to various modelling projects

• Provide technical support to process investigations

• Maintain and optimize models, as well as tracking and trending key performance indicators (KPIs) related to these models.

how to succeed

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. (preferred) degree in Science, Math, Engineering or other science related field

• Strong programming skills in at least one major scientific language (e.g. Python)

• Required: Fluent in written and spoken English

• Strong scientific background in engineering, physics, chemistry or similar 

• Practical experience with machine learning libraries and/or statistical tools

• Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes & products and/or equipment 

• Basic knowledge in quality (GxP)

• Strong analytical skills are a must

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work independently under general direction, having a good sense of prioritization of assigned tasks goals and managing time accordingly.

• Hands-on, result oriented attitude.

• Motivated, self-starter able to work independently with demonstrated problem solving skills. 

• Team player.

This role offers a very competitive hourly rate. This contract will run for a 1 year duration and has a chance of extension. This is primarily a remote position. Occasional travel to Belgium may be required if it is doable for the successful candidate.
