Location: Limerick

To provide technical writing, documentation coordination and project support for the Maximo implementation, ensuring that deliverables associated with spare parts, asset register development, preventive maintenance, systems integration, IT, Quality, compliance and system readiness are accurate, consistent, traceable and completed in accordance with applicable Johnson & Johnson Quality Policies, procedures and project governance requirements. The role will collaborate with Asset Care & Reliability, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Operations, IT, Supply Chain, Procurement and relevant subject matter experts to support the controlled development, review, approval and release of Maximo project documentation and data.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Excellent technical writing, editing, proofreading and information-structuring capability, with strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to understand complex engineering, maintenance, Quality and business processes and translate them into clear documents for different user groups.

  • Expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, including document formatting, data review, trackers and controlled templates.

  • Experience with electronic document management and Quality systems; familiarity with SharePoint or similar collaborative document repositories is desirable.

  • Experience with a computerized maintenance management system or enterprise asset management platform; Maximo experience is strongly desirable.

  • Working knowledge of asset master data, spare-parts data, preventive maintenance, maintenance processes, asset hierarchies and data governance is desirable.

  • Ability to understand and document system integrations, data flows, interface requirements, field mappings, testing activities and IT support processes.

  • Excellent verbal communication, stakeholder engagement, customer service and cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple documents and priorities, work independently, meet deadlines and escalate risks or gaps promptly.

  • Self-starter who establishes priorities, maintains accurate trackers and drives assigned documentation through review and approval.

  • Ability to build effective working relationships with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Operations, IT, Supply Chain, Procurement and external vendors.



How to Succeed

  • Qualification in an appropriate discipline such as Engineering, Maintenance/Reliability, Information Systems, Technical Communication, Life Science or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Experience producing or managing technical documentation in a regulated, engineering, manufacturing or maintenance environment.

  • Understanding of document control, change control, traceability, data integrity and formal review and approval processes.

  • Understanding of GMP, compliance, validation practices, system development life cycle principles and regulatory expectations relevant to a medical-device environment.

  • Working knowledge of applicable medical-device Quality and electronic-record requirements, including 21 CFR Part 820 and 21 CFR Part 11, as relevant to assigned activities.
