Scientist - Analytical Method & Stability Center

As a Scientist within the Analytical Method & Stability Center (AMSC), you will join Analytical Development, part of the Therapeutics Development & Supply organization within J&J Innovative Medicine.
AMSC is a diverse, highly engaged team that supports analytical method development, clinical release, and stability assessment for synthetically designed drugs across the full product lifecycle—from early development through commercialization. The group also serves as a center of excellence for chromatographic and physicochemical testing, including the implementation of innovative analytical and automation technology platforms for New Molecular Entities.
To further strengthen our team, we are seeking an engaged Scientist motivated by the opportunity to help transform patients’ lives. In this role, you will represent AMSC on cross-functional project teams for assigned R&D programs, translating project needs into internal and external laboratory activities supporting analytical method development, product characterization, stability profiling, and clinical release testing. Your work will help ensure patient safety as we launch the next “hope-in-a-box.”

roles and responsibilities
You independently support multiple assigned projects in Synthetic development (including Oligonucleotides, Peptides, Conjugates, degraders, etc.): establishes priorities in line with the project- and team- objectives/deliverables.
You will collaborate closely with colleagues in other Analytical Development teams, API and Drug product development.
You will have impact on product development by initiating fit-for-purpose stability studies and characterization techniques, accompanied by deep scientific data interpretation.
how to succeed
Education:You hold an advanced scientific degree (PhD) in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Technology or related science with 0 - 3 years of proven experience (post graduate education and post graduate research experience will count towards the years of experience)
OR
a master’s degree in chemistry, Biochemistry or related scientific field, with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
Experience and Skills:Knowledge of various stability studies (ICH stability, RIBPS, open dish stress studies, etc.) on synthetic compounds.
Technical knowledge and experience for developing/validating and transferring analytical methods in support of the R&D project portfolio with major focus on techniques such as Liquid Chromatography is an asset.
Knowledge and/or experience with Synthetics (including Conjugates, Oligonucleotides, degraders, etc.) drug substances synthesis processes and drug formulation processes and analytical techniques required for characterization.
Practical experience in industry and knowledge of GMP regulations are an asset
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
You can oversee projects in a professional way with respect to deadlines and with a good sense of urgency.
Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude

This role offers a very competitive hourly rate. This contract will run for a 12 month duration. This is primarily on-site position.
