Logistics Coordinator Customs
GENERAL JOB PURPOSE
Takes care of daily import and export customs clearance operations of our pharmaceutical products and similar for Beerse site.
CORE ACTIVITIES
- Coordination and processing of incoming shipments.
- Organizing and following up on inspections and verifications with regards to daily customs clearance operations.
- Classifying and checking documents according to J&J guidelines.
- Checking, processing and cross-charging incoming invoices.
- Request the necessary CITES and import licenses from the Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain (FASFC) for incoming shipments with animal content and biological agents.
- follow-up of all customs related processes, creating semester IPR reporting
- daily contact with internal and external colleagues within J&J global and with customers, suppliers, carriers / forwarders, FOD Economy (Customs), FAVV, to follow-up and for providing information, advice and consultation.
- Providing advice to the Beerse site regarding customs and import/export related questions.
CRITERIA
- Ensuring continuity within the team and department
- Support customs related processes regarding customs classification.
KNOWLEDGE
- Minimum 3 years of confirmed experience in a similar area
- Strong knowledge of import/export and general customs regulations
- Knowledge of air, sea and road freight logistics processes
- knowledge of Global Trade Compliance Standards is a plus
- Knowledge of GMP and GDP procedures is a plus
PROBLEM SOLVING AND INDEPENDENCE
- Good Team player
- Can set the right priorities
- Decides independently on import, export and customs related tasks
- Customer-oriented
EDUCATION
- Degree in Logistics, Customs Clearance, Supply Chain or equivalent by experience.
LANGUAGES
- Fluent in English & Dutch (must have)
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE OF SYSTEMS
- Familiar with customs systems DBTAR - TARBEL - PLDA and NCTS ?
- Familiar with current (office) software packages
