Location: Ringaskiddy, Cork - Hybrid - 2 days a week on site
Duration: 6 months - Good chance of extension
Hours: 39 per week
The Digital Operations and Technical Services, DOTS, Digital Manufacturing (DM) team focuses on building digital capabilities to deliver, scale, and support manufacturing systems and digital products to ensure full integration from factory floor to business solutions. Digital Manufacturing focuses on manufacturing systems and data to enable full integration into the shop floor to help J&J adopt consistent digital values across the MTO network. DM supports MSAT innovation through digital tools, enabling operational excellence and asset optimization. The DM team supports long-term growth and helps J&J scale and sustain business value by accelerating the drive toward becoming a digital supply chain, which enables competitiveness, resilience, and responsiveness.
roles and responsibilities
The Business Product Analyst is responsible for translating business & user requirements into use cases, stories and process flows for product development & deployment. This will involve:
Understand the product’s business & user requirements and translate them into detailed requirements for the digital product
As a squad member, builds use cases, writes, manages and clarifies user stories, visualization, and process flows
Stays 2-3 sprints ahead and ensures each feature has a clear definition of done; ensures each feature level deliverable is aligned to a definition of readiness to enter sprint
In partnership with the BPO, maintain deep understanding of the business processes to ensure that the teams backlog priorities are aligned with business / customer needs
Applies business process improvement methods for optimization
Documents confirmed business processes to serve as reference for development and IT support
May help write UAT scripts and participate in User Acceptance Testing as needed
Track metrics and build reports to measure progress
Help manage dependencies with other product teams
Apply compliance requirements within scope of responsibility, ensures SDLC documentation, system configuration and compliance activities are up to date
Understands portfolio of IT systems that the business uses; may specialize in specific applications and as such hold deep product / BPM expertise
Support and/or facilitate system demos via inspect and adapt workshops as needed
Explain how requirements may be implemented from a functional standpoint and drive/improve user experience
Communicate vision to developers and testers

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in an Engineering, Science, IT or another related field
A minimum of 3+ years of related experience required
Experience of Digital Product Development LCM management process (POC/MVP/SCALE/SUSTAIN)
Experience in Manufacturing or Quality Systems in a GMP environment (SAP, MES, LIMS, DCS)
Systems and Digital product LCM Management Experience
Experience of the E2E manufacturing and product release processes
Proven ability to engage and empathize with their customers to tailor solutions to the true needs of the customer.
Demonstrates a continuous improvement mindset and a mentality to challenge the status quo and continuously innovate through experimentation (test & learn)
Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to accurately analyse situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Can quickly learn industry trends / domains and end user demands from pain points
Stays up to date with current trends, best practices and new technologies
Experience using analytics techniques for feature prioritization
Experienced in facilitating product team ceremonies, managing a backlog/release plan, tracking team level metrics (burndown chart, release burn up, etc.), removing blockers
Understanding of customer journeys and customer experience
Foundational skills (at minimum) in Data Engineering, Cybersecurity, Intelligent Automation and Emerging Technology
