Calibration Technician

Imagine your next role as a Calibration Technician where you maintain and improve status of equipment and components key to the manufacture and measurement of medical and other devices. You will perform calibration duties and provide support to manufacturing and lab facilities.
Responsibilities
Performs scheduled routine and nonscheduled calibrations on production and facilities equipment.
Initialize and deal with OOS situations. QA will be informed through a Calibration Alert.
Document and review the work performed following the procedures of the Company and applicable regulations.
Suggests improvements to existing standard operating procedures for calibration methods and systems.
Develops increased knowledge of the manufacturing process and equipment operation to help to identify calibration needs.
Maintains the calibration status of all measuring and critical manufacturing equipment.
Assists in establishing calibration and test methods for new and existing equipment.
Completes all calibration test records accurately.
Raises issues and reports on calibration failures.
Develops new standard operating procedures for calibration of new equipment.
Revises standard operating procedures as required. Ensures that calibration records are updated and stored such that they are easily retrieved.
Participate in projects, programs, committees, and special activities that promote the company to establish its strategic goals.
Attend trainings and education programs applicable and immediately notify their supervisor if there are tasks and/or responsibilities which have not been properly trained.
Perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor as needed.
To be successful in this role you have:
Associate Degree in Industrial, Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical Electronics or related field.
Professional certifications as required by regulation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
Excellent computer proficiency e.g. MS Office, SAP
Excellent analytical skills to identify gaps and root causes of issues and think out of the box to develop a solution.
Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision to meet tight deadlines and maintain a positive attitude.
Other Requirements
Strong technical skills in pharmaceutical production equipment.
Proficient in reading mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and drawings.
Demonstrate skills in root cause analysis.
Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills.
Automation proficiency (depending on functional area)
Good knowledge in compliance with Occupational Safety, Environment, and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s).
Basic knowledge of aseptic techniques.
Good documentation and verbal communication skills.
Basic knowledge of the use of computer systems is preferable.
Availability to work rotating shifts, overtime, holidays, and weekends.
