The Project:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a high potential individual to join the UK Vaccines CVT in a 5-month full-time assignment in a sales / business development role.

The selected candidate will work closely with CVT members to scope and define the private

market opportunity for vaccines in the UK, with a heavy focus on Janssen’s COVID-19

vaccine.


 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work as key part of the UK Vaccines CVT
  • Develop objective assessment of value pools (volume and estimated price) for private market opportunities for vaccines in the UK by each segment with a view to providing go no-go recommendations for each segment
  • For prioritized private market segments, develop a strategy for engaging and generating sales leads, run initial meetings with customers, and build sales pipeline with key accounts (mix of warm introductions through existing Janssen team and cold calling)
    • Map all local accounts against strategy
    • Size and probability weight accounts, to determine account outreach plan
    • Maintain ongoing account management and outreach oversight
    • Source, secure and negotiate local contracts (in line with regional guidance and policies)
  • Support with account mapping and sizing/ segmentation/ targeting as per ESO guidance (starting with COVID-19 but may include RSV)
  • Support CVT with inputs into COVID-19 forecasting exercise


 

Professional Experience Required:

  • No specific degree requirements 
  • Sales or business development experience within the UK market is desirable 
  • Sales / BD experience working with retail pharmacies, private GP clinics, travel clinics,  large corporates is preferred 
  • Ability to research and identify new business opportunities – including new markets and  customers 
  • Excellent customer facing and relationship building skillset 
  • Ability to find opportunities and build compelling business cases 
  • Analytical skills and ability to absorb significant technical information 
  • Ability to present strategic recommendations to senior management 
  • Clear and effective communication skills 
  • Technical ability to effectively work with databases, spreadsheets, and PowerPoint



 

In Return:

In return for this role you will receive a very competitive hourly rate. A minimum 5 month contract which could lead to a long term contract extension & an opportunity to work with a Global Leader within the Pharmaceutical sector, Johnson & Johnson. 


 

Please Note: This role is INSIDE IR35. Pay rate for this role will depend on how you are paid (PAYE or Umbrella options)
