Contract Project Engineer (Research & Development) - Leeds

You will be required to visit the site 3 times a week.

The Project/Role:

Facilitate and set up a process for considering post-market data (clinical, complaint etc) and comparing it to risk management documentation within R&D. 

This will require the ability to learn information quickly on the product portfolio, assess risk, collaborate with other key stakeholders, identify new standards/regulatory requirements, implement procedures, update risk management documents and manage delivery to key time points. 

This will be a transformative process involving drafting procedures, updating risk documents and managing an external resource to provide a validated software solution.
 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Overall responsibility to their Manager for the attainment of projects goals agreed in relation to project objectives with the appropriate level of guidance and within agreed deadlines.
• Assume responsibility for specifying project goals and timelines and identifying barriers for delivery of the project.
• Able to assimilate information quickly
• Able to simplify complex information accurately
• Identify strategic requirements for the business and align this with key stakeholders.
• To adhere to the company’s procedures as detailed in the SOP manual.
• Update risk management documents as required by the new process
• Work as part of a Global Project Core Team with its inherent communication and cultural challenges

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in engineering (mechanical or medical preferred).
• Required – the ability to project manage complex, changing projects within a pressured environment and communicate progress regarding the current project milestone.
• Required – high level of soft skill
• Required – able to simplify complex information with a high level of accuracy

• Willing to work in virtual teams.
• Can track tasks within a project.
• Can manage and communicate change.
• Can update risk assessment documentation

Please Note: This role is INSIDE IR35. Pay rate for this role will depend on how you are paid (PAYE or Umbrella options)
