Data Visualization Expert

Location: Leiden

Duration: one-year contract

Hours:40h

Imagine your next role as a Data Visualization Expert at the Janssen R&D Business Technology team.

You will support the Janssen Infectious Diseases & Vaccines Therapeutic Area (ID&V TA) with the development of dashboards that will help our scientists make meaningful decisions.

About the department and the role

Over the past few years, the Janssen ID&V TA has significantly increased the adoption of the Janssen R&D Data Lake. Development of dashboards on top of data in this lake has until now been done by offshore resources.

The reason for moving to an onsite visualization resource is two-fold:

We want to have a more efficient and effective way of delivering visualizations. Translating the requirements to an offshore team takes a lot of effort. Also, this offshore team has to adhere to J&J’s systems development life-cycle, which creates additional overhead. We are looking for a data visualization expert with experience in requirement engineering, being able to get to the essence of the problem and ensure implementation is a success.

As part of the Janssen ID&V TA’s overall data management strategy, we want to increase the organization’s data management skillset. Ultimately, we want our scientists to be able to create their own visualizations. Hence, next to the development of dashboards, we expect the contractor to uplift the skillset within the ID&V TA by providing expert support and by organizing training sessions.
