Imagine your next project where you will provide EHS support for projects at the Limerick site to ensure compliance with regulatory, corporate and industry requirements.



roles and responsibilities


  • Provide EHS support for projects at the Limerick site

  • Conduct EHS Impact Assessments (IA) as part of Management of Change process to ensure that all EHS requirements and J&J standards are incorporated into projects

  • Participate in design reviews, risk assessments (HAZOPs, JSAs, noise, IH/ergonomics), FATs / SATs, walkdowns as required

  • Implement J&J EHS by Design process

  • Support permitting at interface areas including fire detection systems disablement & enablement

  • Provide PTW / construction safety support for execution of projects as required

  • Complete walk downs on Safety Clearances

  • Support IA action closure tracking

  • Perform periodic walkdowns / audits / programme reviews to ensure compliance with environmental permits, plans, policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Provide support for incident & accident investigation

  • Generate reports / metrics as required to support reviews / corporate reporting e.g One CSS

  • Accommodate site surveys and audits.

  • Work with construction Engineers & Safety Specialists

  • Support handover packages on projects to Facilities dept 

  • Support site evacuation process and emergency response teams

  • Records management.

how to succeed

You will have at least 2 years experience working within a highly regulated industry supporting projects.

You will also bring:

  • 3rd level qualification in EHS, science or engineering or other related discipline or trade qualified.

  • Sound knowledge of EHS legislation

  • Good written, oral communication & interpersonal skills

  • Highly proactive, mature judgement and decision making ability

  • Strong analytical and problem solving ability

  • Self-directed & demonstrated efficient work methods, problem solving skills & ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment

  • Proficient in use of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel & Powerpoint

  • Green Belt certified (preferred)


Benefits

This role offers a very competitive hourly rate. This contract will run for a minimum of 12 months with a strong possibility of extending.
