Imagine your next project providing EHS support/oversight for Line Retrofits and site Construction Projects, support site Safety and liaise with Contractors and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory, corporate and industry requirements and the continual improvement of Safety Performance.
roles and responsibilities
Provision of EHS support for Line Retrofits and Construction Projects at the Limerick site.
Attendance of Project and Construction meetings and holding Contractors to account for Safety and
Environmental commitments.
Liaising with Contractors and other stakeholders.
Driving EHS compliance and continuous improvement.
Conducting EHS Impact Assessments (IA) as part of Management of Change process to ensure that all
EHS requirements and J&J standards are incorporated into new Projects and associated change.
Participating in design reviews, risk assessments (HAZOPs, LOPA’s JSAs, Noise, IH/ergonomics), FATs /
SATs, Fire Safety assessments and walkdowns as required.
Implementation J&J EHS by Design process.
Support of and issuance of Permits at interface areas including Permits associated with fire detection systems disablement & enablement.
Support of the site in the development and management of the site's Emergency Plan.
Provision of PTW / construction safety support for execution of projects and issue Permits where required.
Completion of Safety walk downs/ Safety Clearances (Pre-StartUp Safety Reviews) of equipment prior to handover.
Support of CAPA development and closure.
Performance of periodic walkdowns / audits / programme reviews to ensure compliance with environmental permits, plans, policies, and regulatory requirements.
Provision of support/guidance for incident & accident investigation.
Generation of reports / metrics as required to support reviews / corporate reporting.
Liaison with stakeholders on site surveys and audits.
Liaison with Insurance Company representatives and Engineers as necessary.
Support and development of Project / Equipment handover packages to the Facilities Dept.
Records management.

how to succeed
You are expected to bring extensive general and technical expertise in Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS), coupled with a background in the MedTech or Pharma industry or a comparable field. Your ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders is paramount, and your track record as a successful collaborator is essential.
You will also bring:
Third level qualification in EHS, science or engineering or other related discipline or trade
qualified/time served experience with third level Health and Safety qualification(s).
At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role
Sound knowledge of EHS legislation
Good written, oral communication & people skills
Highly proactive, mature judgement and decision-making ability.
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
Self-directed & demonstrated efficient work methods, critical thinking skills & ability to manage
multiple tasks in a demanding environment.
Proficient in use of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel & PowerPoint
Preferred Requirements:
Manual Handling Instructor.
Current SAFE Pass.
Practical Knowledge of Permit Issuing and Management.
Practical Knowledge of LOTOTO and HRW Management.
