Location: Schaffhausen, Switzerland onsite 100%

Duration of the contract: 31st December (likely to be extended) 

Hours per week: 80% or 100% onsite 

Required: Qualified in Vorteil Ausbildung zur Brandschutzfachperson CFPA (Swissi), fluent in German & English

As a Facilities Engineer focused on Building and Fire Safety, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity of our infrastructure and the safety of our people. Working in a highly dynamic environment, you will bridge the gap between technical engineering and life-saving safety protocols.

Facilities Engineer – Building Safety & Fire Safety roles and responsibilities You will support the planning, execution, and safe delivery of building and fire safety projects while acting as a subject matter expert across the site.

This will involve:

• Plan and execute building safety and fire safety projects (e.g. sprinkler upgrades, safety hardware upgrades)

• Project management

• Acts as one of our fire safety and building safety SMEs

• Support safety inspections, audits and interaction with authorities

• Maintain risk assessments, documentation and training materials

• Coordinate maintenance, inspections and repairs

• Collaborate in a matrix organization with EHS, Engineering and Operations

how to succeed You are a technically minded engineer with a passion for safety standards and the discipline to manage complex projects in a regulated environment.

You will also bring:

• Engineering degree or equivalent

• Qualified in Vorteil Ausbildung zur Brandschutzfachperson CFPA (Swissi)

• Experience with building or fire safety projects preferred

• Fluent German (main working language) and very good English skills

• Strong technical understanding and willingness to learn

• Experience in regulated manufacturing environments is an advantage

• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management skills
