Financial Project Controls Specialist 

Supporting Engineering at the Janssen Sciences, Ringaskiddy site

The role will be remote initially with a view to onsite when restrictions allow

12 months with the possibility of extension



Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage Project Controls; this includes the creation, monitoring, managing and closing out of purchase orders in eMarketplace, ensuring compliance with purchasing policies and procedures. 
  • Management of Capital Appropriation Requests (CARs)  
  • Support requests for orders from process and project engineers and provide support for any adhoc queries relating to vendor orders. 
  • Keep management informed on project status by creating, maintaining, and presenting written reports. 
  • Attend informational seminars on eMarketplace to ensure the most current professional knowledge is maintained at all times. 
  • Troubleshoot minor discrepancies pertaining to purchase orders, requisitions, supplier deliveries & prices. 
  • Communicate and interact effectively with team members; develop credibility and trusted mutually respected relationships with management and team members. 
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership for results and to and challenge the norm 
  • Demonstrates the ability to be flexible and respond effectively to changing priorities. 


Experience:


  • Excellent problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to collect, analyse, summarise, and report on data related to engineering activities. 
  • Very strong interpersonal, organisational and communication skills. 
  • Proven ability to operate in a highly collaborative manner and within a cross functional organization. 
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in an effective and efficient manner. 
  • Ensure a high level of integrity and implementation of Credo-based actions. 
  • Raising PO's for the Engineering team using eMarketPlace
  • Invoicing
  • Supporting/tracking the CAR funding process (for Capital Projects)
  • Spend reporting
