about the department

Therapeutics Development Analytical Development Cork (TDS-AD Cork) is a department responsible for Tox release testing, clinical release and stability testing for drug substance and drug product and stability management of the large molecule (therapeutic proteins) portfolio and emerging gene therapy portfolio. In addition to clinical release & stability activities TDS-AD Cork is responsible for analytical support for large molecules through troubleshooting, investigations, manufacturing support and analytical method transfer. This Job Description will outline the role of the Capacity & Reliability Analyst who will part of the AD Systems team with responsibility for the development of key business systems to support an effective scheduling and planning process for AD Cork


roles and responsibilities

Reporting to the Capacity & Reliability Lead, this individual will act as the key SME and administrator for those systems required to implement an effective and efficient planning and scheduling process. This individual will work closely with functional teams to maintain and develop accurate and efficient planning processes and systems in support of the AD Department. This will involve: 

  • Act as SME/Administrator and developer for SQL Server, being proficient in running SQL queries, updating SQL Tables & Views etc.

  • Proficient in Power BI, maintaining, developing and creating Power BI Dashboards, linking to SQL.

  • Proficient in Power Automate in creating flows and automating tasks.

  • Proficient in Power Apps, creating Applications that link through Power Automate to update data sets in SQL.

  • Experience with Databricks and gateways is desirable but not essential.

  • Monitor and report established KPI’s and metrics with each Function

  • Actively identify and lead process improvement opportunities

  • Actively seek to understand and implement best practice both within J&J but also within Industry in relation to equipment/Capacity optimization.

  • Act as SME/Administrator for key business planning systems, such as Smart QC and eLIMS.

  • Supporting planning and business performance lead to develop and sustain an effective and efficient planning process.

  • Collaborate with functional teams and the Capacity & Reliability Lead to develop and maintain the inputs and infrastructure to support an effective and efficient planning process.

  • Proactively identify system solutions with the potential to feed into an improved planning process.



how to succeed

Minimum Qualification

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in IT, Supply Chain or related scientific field is required.

  • 3-5+ years of experience in academia, Biotechnology, IT, Operations or pharma industry.

  • Strong experience in SQL and PowerBi. Tableau is a strong advantage.

  • Detailed Knowledge of computer programs such as eLIMS, Biovia, MS Word, Excel, SQC, Power Apps, Power Automate & Tableau strongly preferred.

  • Good understanding of quality and attention to detail.

This role offers a very competitive hourly rate. This contract will run for a 12 month duration and has a strong chance of extension.
