Duration: 12 months (opportunity for a contract extension)

Imagine your next project as Senior/Lead Electrical Engineer. Senior/Lead electrical Engineer is required to operate within multifunctional project engineering teams, delivering new and modified equipment in a high-volume manufacturing facility.
This senior technical role requires a candidate with the experience, technical ability, and confidence to take the lead on all electrical aspects of the design and commissioning of automated machinery from the LV distribution to the 24V control systems.
This role also requires an individual with the motivation and vision to drive continuous improvements in a busy, expanding manufacturing facility.
roles and responsibilities
Oversee and review the development, testing, and installation of Electrical distribution and control system as part of a highly automated, high volume 24/7 validated production environment.
Participate within project teams, provide technical support, and make informed decisions on Electrical and control system hardware and architecture selection within a multi-functional multidiscipline team environment.
Advise in fault-finding of complex automation equipment and control systems when required.
Maintain comprehensive documentation to Medical Device standards.
Inspect new and existing vendor electrical equipment for compliance with JJV Electrical requirements.
Carry out electrical commissioning assessments and sign-off new/modified installations.
Manage introduction of new site electrical requirements documents for vendors and internal procedures and checks.
Update site electrical standards to reflect current international standards and new types of equipment.
Monitor and continually improve the site electrical power up plan and address associated queries.
Maintain electrical drawing software network licensing systems and repository.
Guide, advise and oversee the site wide electrical engineering function to ensure the highest quality of service to the business.
how to succeed
Minimum Level 8 Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Strong knowledge of current Irish and international electrical standards, directives, and best practices
Design and commissioning of LV Distribution and MCC systems
Design and commissioning of 24V Controls and Automation systems
Drawing packages (e.g., AutoCad, EPLAN, Vault etc.)
Cable design/sizing experience (e.g., manual calcs, Amtech etc.)
Experience with fully automated machinery
Experience in senior/lead electrical engineering role
Large scale manufacturing plant experience an advantage
Skills / Characteristics

Excellent decision making skills
Confidence and experience to work autonomously
