Lead the analysis and streamlining of raw material supply processes in our Biotherapeutics production clean rooms, directly impacting the efficiency and optimization of a global healthcare leader's operations.

Roles and Responsibilities

This role requires you to act as the Owner of the raw material supply processes at the Biotherapeutics site in Leiden, driving continuous improvement through lean principles and cross-functional collaboration. This will involve:

  • Process Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of existing logistics processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and risks.

  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Develop and maintain SOPs for distribution processes, ensuring regulatory compliance and performing periodic document reviews.

  • Partner Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., distribution center, warehouse management, global planning) to identify process improvements and resolve issues.

  • Lean: Demonstrate and apply lean principles for raw material replenishment, with essential experience in Kanban design and control.

  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Define, track, and monitor logistics metrics, identifying areas for improvement and providing regular reports to management.

  • Continuous Improvement: Continually evaluate processes using data-driven insights and industry trends to drive continuous improvement efforts.

How to Succeed

You will bring a minimum of 5 years of proven experience in process improvement or supply chain optimization within the logistics or pharmaceutical industry. You will also bring:

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (relevant certifications are a plus).

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess complex processes and find opportunities for improvement.

  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail for identifying process gaps, analyzing data, and ensuring accurate documentation.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and facilitate process change. A good understanding of the Dutch language is preferred.

  • Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in logistics software, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

  • Preferred: Lean certification.
