We are currently recruiting a Maintenance Engineer to join our contingent workforce on a growing team in Janssen Biologics in Leiden for an initial 12-month contract.

The health and safety of patients, employees, and the environment is our highest priority. We are taking care of the reliability of production assets: Manufacturing equipment, utilities, facilities, and buildings located in Leiden and Schiphol. Many parties are involved in this work, both internally and externally.
You as a Maintenance Engineer will:
- Be system owner of a specific utility installation(s), and lead the multi-disciplinary asset team.
- Be responsible together with e.g. engineering, maintenance engineers, and technicians for the entire lifecycle of the assets.
- Have a leading role in the development and digitization of the maintenance strategy of the system and collaborate within the global Make Asset Management organization.
- Develop and own multi-year asset replacement plans and arrange budget for OPEX and CAPEX expenses for your systems.
- Plan and coordinate projects to replace current assets, and introduce new technologies. Be the Domain Expert for a specific utility system and ensure regulatory (EHSS, Q, FIN) compliance.
- Represent the site in audits and assessments
You as a Maintenance Engineer have:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
- Related working experience in a GMP environment
- Manufacturing Asset Management knowledge
- Ability to switch between strategic, tactical, and operational thinking.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external peers and business partners. Dutch is a plus
- Proficient automation knowledge (CMMS, Industry 4.0, BMS, Data management)
- Advanced analytical / Process Excellence skills to perform and facilitate Risk Assessments (FMEA, HAZOP, RCM), Statistical Process Control, Root Cause Analyses, and problem-solving capabilities.
