The Schaffhausen facility is a strategic launch and growth site for parenteral products, and we have an impressive pipeline of new and innovative products.

The GET organization operates as one integrated team in the delivery of Engineering, Maintenance and Automation activities. This occurs in a standard, coordinated and consistent manner in support of the current and future requirements of our Manufacturing & Technical Organization (MTO) and in conjunction with key partners, to create one integrated internal/external network. 

We are looking for a packaging engineer to support the Engineering Department

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership for Packaging Engineering Projects 

  • Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Packaging components: impact assessment and qualification on the manufacturing lines in Schaffhausen

  • Qualification of supplier packaging materials resulting from supplier-initiated changes (Primary, secondary and Tertiary Packaging Materials)

  • Control of Change ownership supplier-initiated changes and coordination across different departments

  • Close collaboration with stakeholders on site (Business Units, QA, EHS&S, Planning etc) as well as with the global organization (Procurement, External Quality, MSAT Device and Primary Container)

  • Participation in internal and external audits (GMP, EHS and FM)

Qualifications

Education:

  • Master or Bachelor degree or equivalent in Engineering, preferably Packaging Engineering or Packaging Technology or equivalent by experience


Experience and Skills:

Required: 

  • A minimum of 6 years of related business experience and a proven track record in Packaging Engineering in the pharmaceutical or food industry 

  • Excellent project management skills

  • Excellent organization and communication skills with the ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal

  • Strong collaborative skills in global teams and in local project teams 

  • Drive to continuously improve, challenge the status quo and shape processes

  • Self-driven, well-organized and able to set own targets

  • Decisiveness, brainpower and aim to take care of various issues and projects simultaneously. 



Other:

  • Language skills: Fluency (oral and written) in German. English with good communication skills

  • This role may require occasionally regional travel, as needed (less than 10%)
