Patient Programme Vendor Manager

The Role:
Lead on the development and implementation of systems and processes for the UK and Ireland to ensure Janssen Patient Support Programmes (PSP) meet the governance and compliance standards of internal and external requirements related to Patient Safety/Pharmacovigilance (PV) and Quality.
Lead on the standardisation of the management of homecare and PSPs within Janssen UK and Ireland through ensuring company wide compliance to the PSP work instruction and facilitate internal readiness for regulatory inspections related to the above areas.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead on behalf of Janssen UK and Ireland and own the ongoing management/review of the homecare and PSP work instruction
Lead on behalf of Janssen UK and Ireland in ensuring compliance to the Homecare/PSP work instruction across the organisation
Lead on the development, delivery and evaluation of all required training on the PSP and homecare work instruction
Accountable for ensuring all homecare and patient support programmes are audit ready and sharepoint files are stored accurately. Be the gatekeeper for the Homecare/PSP sharepoint site
Lead on and collaborate with all relevant internal stakeholders to select suppliers through the approved procurement processes
Lead and chair the Janssen UK and Ireland Homecare and PSP Steering Committee to ensure complete oversight and compliance of all programmes
Provide 6 monthly reporting to the UK MD and their Leadership team on the performance of Janssen UK and Ireland Homecare and PSP Compliance
Lead on behalf of Janssen UK and Ireland for the ongoing assessment of supplier performance across homecare and PSPs
Be an active member of the National Clinical Homecare Association (NCHA) and be the Janssen Lead on appropriate ABPI workstreams
Lead on the negotiation and liaison with internal stakeholders (eg Legal, HCBI, Privacy etc) to ensure industry standard contracts, MSA, WO etc are in place with all existing and new homecare/PSP providers
Lead on driving consistency in contract management for Homecare/PSP and Delivery only Programmes (DoP) and formalise contract review process
Ongoing accountability for all Homecare and PSP MSAs
Input into, and drive development of wider contract management capabilities across Janssen
Collaborate with BRQC to ensure effectiveness of Janssens audit capabilities across vendors to highlight risks
Support internal audits of programmes via external auditing vendors
Facilitate and liaise with global / regional / local audit teams and be the business accountable person for findings and CAPA’s relating to homecare/PSPs across the entire OpCo
Lead on maintenance of deviation log at vendor level rather than programme level
Be the PSP and homecare Subject Matter Expert (SME) within Janssen and be a core member of PRP
Lead on behalf of Janssen UK and Ireland on developing and shaping programme enhancements utilising vendor and market insights in partnership with internal stakeholders. This includes the identification, sourcing and onboarding of new suppliers in line with NHS guidance and internal business policies/practices
Lead on behalf of Janssen UK and Ireland on the development of the Janssen homecare and PSP strategy, communicate this to internal stakeholders and implement deliverables across Janssen UK and Ireland
Present to the MD and Leadership Team as required to inform and update on progress against strategy to ensure they retain oversight
Work collaboratively with EMEA Partnership team to deploy best practise in strategic vendor management initiatives
Collaborate with EMEA expertise to refine Homecare and PSP Metrics to ensure consistency and recommend enhancements.
Support the Business Intelligence team to maintain suitable contract provision for NHS Sales Data reporting from Homecare Providers
Support NHS customers to resolve NHS Funded Homecare issues and queries
Support the Janssen Rebates team to manage NHS funded Homecare related rebate challenges.
Collaborate with the Government Affairs and Policy Team to shape policy related to Janssen sponsored Homecare and PSP.
Lead and deliver strategic homecare/PSP related projects eg Strategic Management Plan
Qualifications:
Extensive experience of working within a homecare environment (5 years plus)
Previous experience of working within a pharmaceutical environment
Deep understanding of the key stakeholders (e.g. NHS, homecare providers and associated regulatory bodies)
Understanding of industry dynamics and evolving landscape in the homecare market
Evidence of previous strategy development and execution
Strong commercial approach proven in prior roles and ability to analyse trends to make informed business decisions
Analytical and structured approach with a willingness to challenge the status quo
Strong interpersonal skills and able to work effectively and collaboratively with cross-functional teams with the ability to lead without direct line management authority
Proven experience of contract negotiation and managing contractual obligations
Expertise in managing external vendor relationships and contracts
Customer focussed
Previous audit experience
Experience of working within a compliance driven environment and ability to identify improvements to best practice
Sound budget management experience
Project Management skills and experience
Has the confidence and gravitas to engage, present, influence and challenge at executive level and build relationships at all levels
