Imagine your next role as a Process Engineer to join our team in Norderstedt/Hamburg, Germany. You will take over the design and qualification of manufacturing processes and the associated systems with comprehensive knowledge of the entire production process, including the associated employees, processes, systems, and products. In addition to the documentation required for validation, regular production visits are required so that there is a balance between desk work and on-site work in production. 



Key Responsibilities: 


• Self-managed development and optimization of manufacturing and packaging processes for surgical suture materials and implants 

• Apply effective project management as a local project manager – or team member in international projects

 • Independent organization and implementation of process validations: equipment installation (IQ), process qualification under worst-case conditions (OQ) and standard conditions (PQ) 

• Project-related alignment with quality departments to investigate non-conformities (NC) and implement corrective and preventative actions (CAPA) 

• Support local projects to implement changes to packaging materials in collaboration with international J&J support functions such as research and development, laboratories, suppliers, and others

• Assessment of material changes and possible impacts on products and processes.




how to succeed

The ideal candidate will have:


 • Completed Engineering studies, preferably in the field of packaging technology or production, process, medical technology, industrial engineering, or mechanical engineering 

• Ideally gained experience in product or process development for medical devices

 • Strong communication and teamwork skills (must-have) the role is very outgoing/lots of stakeholder communication/interaction

• Fluent in German and English – written/spoken (must-have) 

• Validation experience / Manufacturing Validation background would be a plus (nice to have) 

• Knowledge of Statistics is beneficial

This role offers a competitive hourly rate, an on-site way of working & 1 month of introduction/training before a person can work independently on a project.  

This contract will run initially  till the end of December 2024
