Procurement Manager (APIs)
Location: Zug (3 days office, 2 days home working)
Contract till: December 2024 (highly likely to be extended)
Preferred Related Industry Experience: Broad Healthcare & Life Sciences (preferable), Personal Care or Chemical industries
The Role:
This role is part of the Supply Chain Procurement team, reporting into Chemicals Procurement, the position reports into Senior Manager Procurement APIs & Excipients and is based at Zug , Switzerland
The Procurement Manager will support implementation of the Global Category API strategies, ensuring the projects are delivered on time and at the right cost.
Key Responsibilities
Understand business needs and recommend the right supply set up according to our strategies
Ensure cross-functional alignment
Engage and negotiate with suppliers
Participate actively in the projects execution
Project manage separation activities from J&J
Contract negotiations with suppliers
Regular updates to senior leadership on contracts, compliance, project updates
Represent Procurement in cross functional meetings
Establish reliability of data for APIs
Risk assessesment for APIs
Required Qualifications
Bachelor or Master degree in: Engineering, Science (Pharmaceutical, Chemistry), Business
8+ years of Procurement / Supply Chain experience
Experience in MS Office applications – MS Excel & PowerPoint
Fluent English
Chemicals Knowledge (APIs / OTC), Procurement Knowledge – Strategic Sourcing, Supplier & industry knowledge (OTC focus)
Stakeholder management
Good presentation skills
Desired Qualifications
A relevant degree (e.g., Business, Engineering, Science) is preferred, preferably complemented by an MBA or another master’s qualification is preferred.
Experience in the fast-moving consumer goods industry preferred
Demonstrated experience leading teams through organizational transformation is preferred
PMP Certification or Process Excellence/Six Sigma Certification is preferred.
Experience working in a Project Management Organization is desirable
