Procurement Specialist


Location: Cork

This contractor role provides hands-on PMO coordination and delivery support across the Procurement Source portfolio, as well supporting procurement analytics to increase capacity within the Sourcing PMO.

The role will focus on enabling delivery, strengthening governance routines, coordinating stakeholders as well as helping ensure the Procurement Source portfolio is accurately tracked, consistently reported, and supported by reliable spend and savings analytics.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day PMO operational support for the Procurement Source portfolio including tracking milestones, actions, risks, dependencies and decision points

  • Support portfolio governance processes by preparing materials, coordinating inputs, documenting decisions, tracking actions, and ensuring follow-up and closure from PMO and leadership forums

  • Maintain accurate and auditable portfolio, savings, and spend data, aligned across Procurement and Finance reporting cycles

  • Perform procurement spend and savings analytics, including data cleansing, validation, reconciliation, and structured analysis across categories, suppliers, and geographies

  • Produce clear status updates, summaries and standardised analytical outputs (tables, charts, dashboards, and summaries) to support sourcing prioritisation, performance tracking, and decision-making

  • Support monthly and quarterly reporting cycles, ensuring data consistency, transparency, and readiness for review

  • Identify data issues, trends, or anomalies, escalating insights and risks to the Sourcing PMO Lead and relevant stakeholders

  • Provide administrative and coordination support, including meeting facilitation, action tracking, document management, and upkeep of shared PMO repositories

  •  Act as a reliable execution partner, enabling PMO leadership to focus on strategic, stakeholder, and decision-making activities




How to succeed

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent professional experience


Experience & Skills 

Proven experience supporting Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, PMO, or analytics teams in a delivery-focused role

  • Strong hands-on analytics capability, including data cleansing, validation, reconciliation, and interpretation

  • Advanced Excel skills essential; experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools is an advantage

  • Comfortable working with large, complex datasets and producing management-ready outputs

  • Experience supporting portfolio reporting, governance routines, or cross-functional coordination

  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and focused on accuracy and delivery to deadlines

  • Able to work independently with direction, manage competing priorities, and deliver defined outputs

  • Clear communicator, able to work effectively with Procurement, Finance, and PMO stakeholders


Benefits

This role offers a very competitive hourly rate. This contract will run for 12 months.
