The Project Lead in the Automation Systems Team, builds and leads a multidisciplinary team that efficiently completes capital investment projects, leads changes and/or introduces new processes. It starts by defining and aligning on the right solution to the business need, defining success and ensuring all resources and requirements towards realization are in place. It strives for full implementation of the project, and you’ll have a high interaction with all sectors of Janssen Biologics, whether Operations, QC, R&D or Quality, both local and within the J&J enterprise.
You take overall accountability for the assigned projects. An open interaction is encouraged with the project’s sponsor. The teams are motivated by your engagement and people leadership skills, to deliver those results which add true value to Janssen Biologics. In this role you show the ability to meet the pre-requisites on Safety, Health, Environment, GMP and reliability as it belongs to an installation or process to manufacture an Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API). You are also accountable to ensure business continuity (risk management) and the financial compliance related to your projects. Project budgets can typically vary from 500k€ up until 10M€.

Support the user/business owner in defining the project case
Define the project-scope, budget and timelines and agree this in the Project Brief
Build and drive multidisciplinary project teams to achieve the Final Project Objectives
Connect with your sponsors & stakeholders and project portfolio manager on project progress and budget status
Handle client expectations with respect to safety, quality, reliability, time and budget
Manage project contracts and purchase orders
Apply Flawless Project eXecution (FPX, J&J standard processes for project management) and continuously improve the project management process and methods
Coach and support team members and peers in applying and developing standard methodologies
Support the Automation Systems Management Team to further develop the department and MAM organization

5 - 7 years working experience in a multidisciplinary environment, of which 3 years in a project management position
Academic degree/Master in a technical education or similar
PMP Certificate preferred
