The Project Manager supports the Engineering, Validation & Maintenance portfolio at J&J Leiden, accountable for assigned projects and for strengthening the common project management way of working.
roles and responsibilities.
Accountable for delivery of assigned EVM projects on time, within budget and according to required quality standards, including examples such as end-of-life technical systems, lab/clean room refurbishments and technical feasibility studies.
Act as Project Manager in accordance with the agreed RACI and ensure project roles, responsibilities, communication lines and escalation routes are clear at project start and revisited when needed.
Review and approve relevant project documentation, including project request/project letter, project plan, URS, planning, risk assessments, cost calculations, resource planning, project execution plan, release report and close-out report.
Support project leads throughout the project lifecycle, including concept phase workshops, project workshops, scope clarification, scope change reviews and project close-out.
Maintain and update portfolio/project management tools and provide timely budget, resource, timeline and status updates to the Portfolio Manager and relevant stakeholders.
Engage with internal site customers/requestors and act as point of contact for assigned projects, ensuring expectations, deliverables and decision points are clear.
Coordinate with EPCM partners and external contractor project leads, including onboarding, routine follow-up meetings, monitoring of EPCM recovery plans, and performance input/feedback.
Support project financial processes relevant to assigned projects, including CARs, capitalization in gCRAFT, engineering support POs and annual Capex budget input/control where applicable.
Identify and support resolution of project risks, resource constraints, planning conflicts, financial impacts and scope changes, in alignment with Portfolio Management and the established escalation process.
Provide PMS/project management training, guidance and onboarding support to EVM team members, project contractors and internal customers.
Contribute to continuous improvement of the project management system, governance, portfolio prioritization and standard ways of working.
Ensure key project readiness elements are included in the project plan where applicable.

GMP OR healthcare OR highly regulated manufacturing experience.
Extensive project management experience.
Ability to work 3 days per week onsite in Leiden.
Minimum of English language with a preference for Dutch & English
