Project Planner supporting the EVM department at J&J Leiden, with primary focus on developing, maintaining and coordinating an integrated planning approach for EVM projects and the extended shutdown planned for late 2027.
The late-2027 extended shutdown is expected to require strong coordination across multiple EVM projects, EPCM partners, internal stakeholders and site functions. The role is intended to create planning discipline, schedule visibility and readiness control so that shutdown-related work can be prepared, sequenced, executed and tracked in a safe, compliant and efficient way.
roles and responsibilities.

Coordinate shutdown planning input from Operations, EHS, Quality, Maintenance, Facilities, Automation, Utilities & Buildings, Equipment, Compliance and other involved stakeholders.
Collect, track and structure shutdown-related requests, project activities, routine maintenance windows, contractor needs, permits, access constraints, system availability assumptions and handover/close-out requirements.
Facilitate planning workshops, schedule review sessions, readiness reviews and coordination meetings before and during the shutdown preparation period.
Identify schedule conflicts, resource bottlenecks, missing prerequisites, decision needs and planning risks early; escalate through the agreed EVM governance process when required.
Support the preparation of shutdown execution packs, including daily/weekly work sequencing, permit/work package readiness, contractor coordination points and status reporting routines.
Maintain planning data in agreed EVM portfolio/project tools, ensuring timely updates to schedule, milestones, dependencies, risk flags and progress status.
Provide concise planning reports and dashboards to the Engineering Manager EVM, Portfolio Manager, Project Managers and governance forums, highlighting critical path, readiness status, upcoming decisions and recovery actions.
Support project teams with planning standards, schedule quality checks, progress tracking and alignment between project schedules and the overall portfolio/shutdown plan.
Coordinate with external contractors and EPCM planners/schedulers to ensure planning assumptions, sequencing and reporting are aligned and consistently followed.
Contribute to continuous improvement of EVM project planning, capacity-driven delivery, stage-gate readiness and portfolio governance ways of working.
Promote safe, compliant and inspection-ready execution by ensuring planning incorporates EHS, quality, permit, LOTOTO, MOC, AMM handover and documentation readiness requirements where applicable.
