The Role


Accountability for the execution of tasks supporting the Quality Management Systems and compliance at Selzach Deliver Distribution Centre in Switzerland, that receive, pick, pack, store, inspect, repack/relabel and deliver finished goods to retailers, wholesalers and distributors.

The position supports the implementation of departmental strategies and services as business expert on quality systems, distribution, and quality management in accordance responsibilities defined in TV-BQR-23290 (SPOC and Deputy Matrix CQ Selzach).

In collaboration with Enterprise (e.g. CQSS) and MedTech segment quality supports the implementation of common distribution standards and Quality Management Systems (where appropriate).

The position supports and execute the optimization of the quality systems and processes and ensures alignment with the worldwide business, applicable local regulations & J&J Enterprise Standards, the Quality Vision and/or Policy, and provides a measurable impact to quality, cost, and customer value.

The position helps identify opportunities to continuously improve quality, cost, and time factors, consistent with both MedTech Segment and Deliver business objectives. Identifies significant business issues, prioritizes for action, and support improvement opportunities and problem solutions.

roles and responsibilities

The position executes quality assurance programs designed to ensure effective and consistent processes with established standards by performing the following duties:

  • Special Processes (FUE, Temperature Control & Monitoring)

    • Responsible for defining, designing and implementing requirements for facilities, utilities and equipment management within the Distribution Center according to defined specifications.

    • Provide support to Distribution Center for planning and executions of Facility, equipment and utilities qualifications.

    • Responsible for support to Distribution Center for management of facilities, utilities and equipment maintenance conducted within the DC.

    • Responsible for adherence to temperature control and monitoring requirements within the facilities.

    • Responsible for accurate and timely communication of temperature control excursions occurring within the Distribution Center to appropriate partner. Responsible for the investigation of any temperature excursions and subsequent required remediation activities.

  • Quality Management Systems

    • Responsible for ensuring the appropriate handling of distribution related customer complaints (Delivery Service Issues) including track and trend and mitigation of Quality related issues, when related to the DCs activities.

    • Responsible for ensuring that a change control system is implemented ensuring that any changes affecting the activities under Deliver responsibility are appropriately controlled.

    • Responsible for management of Quality systems, including NCs/CAPA process and systems, document management, change control, training management, Quality agreements for the activities that are under the scope of the position.

  • Quality Event Management

    • Responsible to assess NCs and overview their on-time and proper completeness.

    • Support NC and investigation owners. Assign ownerships for escalations.

  • Escalation

    • Responsible for ensuring that Regulatory and Compliance Events are escalated to management.

  • Regulatory standards

    • Responsible for keeping local procedures in compliance with regulatory standards
