This position is responsible for carrying out tasks and projects related to equipment, lab utilities, and testing procedures as required by GMP. Partners with other Departments to ensure that all QC testing activities are completed in an efficient manner.
The role sits within the Micro Lab business area. The team structure consists of analysts who report into a Team Leader. The QC team comprises +/-9 individuals, and this is a 100% onsite role within the lab. The main focus of the team and their duties include standard lab maintenance/sustain activities and testing, specifically Water/Bioburden testing, Sterility testing in an isolator, and Endotoxin testing using a KTA reader.
roles and responsibilities
Is an active member of the QC group and participates in key activities: QC Material Release & Scheduling Activities, QC Key Performance Indicators, QC Training – Personal competency & Team development, QC Documentation Review & Approval, and Site Cross Functional Teams.
Carry out tasks and projects related to equipment, lab utilities, and testing procedures as required by GMP.
Partner with other Departments to ensure that all QC testing activities are completed in an efficient manner.
Perform Micro Lab standard lab maintenance/sustain activities and testing.
Perform Water/Bioburden testing.
Perform Sterility testing in an isolator.
Perform Endotoxin testing using a KTA reader.
Comply with EHS rules and procedures.
Deliver on the department Goals & Objectives & Continuous Improvement initiatives.
Support relevant internal and external site audits as required.
Maintain and develop knowledge of analytical methods, technology, and compliance demands.
Foster a culture of quality, safety, and compliance across the Site in line with the J&J Credo.
how to succeed
Possess a Third level Degree in a science or pharmaceutical discipline.
Hold a minimum of 1 years' experience in a quality or compliance role within the pharmaceutical industry (ideally at least 2 to 3 years experience; graduates will not be considered).
Build strong productive relationships.
Demonstrate ability to work with teams and individuals.
Hold self-accountable for compliant and flawless execution.
Display clear communication skills.
