As a QC Investigation Support Release, you are a member of the release team. You help ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant execution of analytical activities and associated investigations to support the release of raw materials, packaging, intermediates, APIs, or DP intermediates for our patients. You are responsible for various cGMP-compliant processes or projects within our QC department, including handling and coordinating investigations and deviations. You will report to the lab supervisor.
roles and responsibilities
Daily support within QC to ensure timely release in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
This will involve:
Daily support within QC: handling and coordinating investigations to ensure timely release in cooperation with QC colleagues, site planning, and QA.
Coaching analysts in executing and interpreting deviations, investigation tests, and linked improvements to strengthen the right-first-time mindset.
Drafting investigation reports based on thorough root-cause analyses; defining and executing corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) and supervising effective and timely implementation and closure.
Leading and managing multidisciplinary teams for cross-departmental investigations, acting as a QC representative in cross-departmental teams.
Taking on specific extra responsibilities where necessary, such as support with trend reporting, tracking reference standards and reagents within the department, providing support for QC planning activities, and rolling out general improvement projects focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and customer engagement.
Representing QC during inspections and monitoring the general quality culture across the laboratories.
Maintaining a continuously orderly laboratory via 5S/6S principles.
how to succeed
You bring a strong analytical eye, cGMP knowledge, and excellent communication skills to drive operational excellence.
You will also bring:
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or equivalent education/experience in related fields.
Demonstrable knowledge of regulatory requirements and guidelines relevant to QC, including compliance and implementation of cGMP, GMP, EH&S, and local regulations.
Experience with quality systems, deviations, and change control; strong change management skills and the ability to act and communicate as a change agent.
Technical experience with QC analytical methods and testing equipment.
Strong collaboration skills and experience in aligning with internal and external stakeholders (Production, QA, NPI, etc.) to drive decision-making.
Proactive, result- and customer-oriented mindset with a hands-on mentality and attention to accuracy.
Analytical thinking, a critical, innovative mindset, and strong problem-solving skills. Ability to maintain an overview and structure in a complex environment.
