Quality Control Specialist

Imagine your next role as a eLIMS Specialist where you will where you will be at the forefront of configuring and optimizing our eLIMS (Lab Vantage) system to meet laboratory requirements. This pivotal position involves translating testing needs into precise eLIMS configurations, acting as a bridge between product managers, laboratory technicians, and the eLIMS system.

About the department

The Janssen Supply Chain includes the Leiden QC large molecule laboratory, which is divided into various testing laboratories and supporting departments based on specific techniques and expertise. One of the unique features of Leiden QC is its role as global HUB for stability testing. The test labs receive support from the Automation department, which provides a wide range of services. 

Responsibilities

• Seamlessly translate technical documents into actionable eLIMS requirements, ensuring accurate configuration aligned with laboratory specifications.

• Configure and fine-tune the eLIMS for stability studies, ensuring precise and reliable data management.

• Take a lead role in configuring the eLIMS for release testing, facilitating efficient and compliant processes.

• Act as a proficient intermediary, fostering effective communication between product managers and the eLIMS system to achieve seamless integration.

• Facilitate clear and productive communication between laboratory technicians and the eLIMS system, ensuring optimal utilization and understanding.

• Skillfully address (ad hoc) eLIMS issues, employing your expertise to swiftly resolve challenges and minimize disruptions

To be successful in this role you have:

• Possess bachelor’s degree (HBO) in Life Sciences or Computer Sciences.

• Accumulated minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in the pharmaceutical industry, showcasing proficiency in GMP and automation methodologies.

• Adept knowledge and practical experience with eLIMS systems, with an advantageous background in Laboratory Operations.

• Engaging interpersonal skills, enabling you to effectively collaborate with individuals at all organizational tiers, cultivating productive relationships.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities in English, with proficiency in Dutch being a valuable asset.

• Exhibit strong planning skills, enabling efficient management of multiple commitments and priorities.

• Display analytical acuity and refined technical problem-solving capabilities. Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma principles is a plus.

• Proactive and autonomous in your approach, demonstrating initiative in the absence of explicit instructions. Proficiency in drafting protocols, reports, business correspondence, and procedures is a key attribute.
