Quality Engineer
Location: Leiden Duration: 12-month contract Hours: 40 hours per week
Imagine your next project as a pivotal role in ensuring the highest quality standards at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine. As a Quality Engineer, you will be at the forefront of quality activities, leading teams and executing tasks that are both routine and non-routine, and directly contributing to the company's annual and divisional goals.
Roles and ResponsibilitiesYour expertise will be applied to support the execution of Operations unit objectives. This will involve:
Performing nonconformance investigations, including CAPA records, and leading change controls (CC) from initiation to completion.
Leading teams required for quality records and escalating issues and risks as needed.
Reviewing and updating documentation based on new or revised regulatory requirements, internal investigations, and audits.
Initiating and implementing risk mitigations and continuous quality improvement projects with limited guidance.
Supporting with formal escalation processes to ensure visibility of risks associated with safety, product quality, and regulatory compliance.
Performing regular GEMBA walks to observe and document adherence to GMP standards.
Supporting the Subject Matter Expert on non-conformities and Change Controls during inspections and audits.
Conducting root cause investigations and data analysis on recurring non-conformities, and recommending corrective actions.
Demonstrating Johnson & Johnson’s Leadership Imperatives and Credo in day-to-day interactions.
To excel in this role, you will bring a proactive and organized approach, a high degree of accuracy, and the ability to work both independently and in a team. You will also bring:
5-8 years of experience in a quality engineering role.
A Bachelor's degree with a Master's degree preferred.
Strong knowledge of quality processes including Non-conformity, Kappas, and change controls.
Coordination skills for working across multiple departments.
The ability to work calmly under pressure and deal with changing priorities.
Proactivity and analytical thinking to identify gaps and root causes of issues and develop solutions.
Previous experience with leading or providing significant guidance on change controls or quality investigations.
Effective prioritization skills to meet deadlines.
This role offers a very competitive hourly rate. This contract will run for a 12-month duration.
