12 month contract with the likelihood of extension

Hybrid working - 3 days on site in Pinewood, Wokingham and 2 days remote working

Job purpose: 

This role sits within the Vision Care Global Demand Planning organization responsible for supporting Regional Demand and Integrated Business Planning (IBP).


 

Accountable for supporting and improving the demand planning and IBP processes for your region by reducing forecast error and optimizing inventory utilization. 


 

You will work closely with the Commercial, Finance and Change to Deliver (CLS) organizations to support IBP maturity, increase forecast accuracy, and orchestration of demand generation events such as promotions, NPI launches and Product discontinuations in partnership with Product Supply and Manufacturing teams.  



 

Your typical day may include:

  • Collaborate with Regional Commercial, Finance, CLS and other SC partners to improve overall Demand planning process and forecast accuracy through shared supply chain / commercial accountability.
  • Support market demand forecast and Demand Reviews
  • Translate market intelligence, customer forecast, promotional activity, seasonality and other internal or external factors that impact demand into the forecast projections.   
  • Design and generate monthly analysis of demand, providing visibility to trends and anomalies to share with key partners to enable better informed decisions. 
  • Find opportunities to effectively shape demand to influence service and / or cost (i.e. inventory).
  • Develop and maintain analytics to support continuous improvement (i.e. trends, forecast ability, Forecast Value), developing new and ad hoc reports as required.
  • Segment portfolio and apply appropriate techniques to each segment.
  • Make recommended adjustments to forecast based on this information.
  • Create and maintain documentation and standard operating procedures for demand planning processes and systems.
  • Generate and review reports of the financial forecast and the sales forecast with appropriate partners.

  • Finance for non finance understanding
  • Ability to connect across functions

In return for this role you will receive a very competitive hourly rate. A minimum 12 month contract & an opportunity to work with a Global Leader within the Pharmaceutical sector, Johnson & Johnson.
