Imagine your next role as a QESH Engineer where you will lead the site team in the preparation, execution, and follow-up of internal and external audits.

About the department

We are the Janssen Biologics Asset Management team, and our team is taking care for the production assets. We are proud to contribute to the COVID19 vaccine manufacturing in this exciting era. We are improving the reliability of our installations, facilities and buildings located at our site in Leiden. Many parties are involved, both internally and externally, in our core tasks. Safeguarding the health and safety of our patients, our employees and our environment is an important spearhead of the Manufacturing Asset Management team.

Responsibilities

• Leading the site team in the preparation, execution and follow-up of internal and external audits

• Acting as advisor for the leadership team for QESH-related topics, and participating in the safety and quality boards.

• Owning site operational standards and processes in the Quality and EHS area, such as permit to work, LOTO, change control, and machine safety.

• Responsible for the continuous improvement of these processes and developing and maintaining dashboards and performance indicators to support these improvements. 

• Working on growing the safety and quality culture by training and mentoring the team

To be successful in this role you have:

• A Bs. degree in a relevant area with strong EHSS / Quality skills. 

• Experience in a strong GMP-regulated industry like pharma is a pre.  

• Strong communication skills at different levels in the organization with a proficient level in the English language. 

• Process thinking and problem-solving skills

• Qualifications like CoThink, RCPS, Lean / Six Sigma green or black belt.
