The Role:

Join Johnson & Johnson as Scientist for Discovery of a semi-continuous monomerisation process. 

This opportunity is open to experienced scientists in life cycle sciences, preferred chemistry, with deep knowledge in developing processes of heterogeneous catalytic monomer reactions in a laboratory environment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Apply advanced process engineering expertise to develop a continuous chemical manufacturing

• processes

• Lead process troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and process transfer activities

• Utilize advanced process design tools like DoE for process development and optimization

• Conduct laboratory preparative work, including active chemical process experimentation and

• analytical result determination

• Support analytical teams with result interpretation and ensure data integrity

• Prepare scientific reports, technical documentation

• Maintain strict GMP compliance

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure process scalability and robustness

Requirements:

• Deep expertise in organic chemistry, polymer/monomer manufacturing, and process engineering

• Extensive experience in continuous manufacturing

• Hands-on laboratory experience with active chemical process work

• Strong analytical skills for result determination

• Proven ability in scientific writing for technical documentation

• Skilled in employing advanced process design tools such as DoE

• Familiarity with GMP environment and compliance requirements

• Feasible for Master Thesis or part of a PHD program
