The Team:
The Commercial Marketing team is tasked with developing, adapting and implementing a brand strategy for Ireland, embedded in local insight and designed to build sustainable top line growth and profit.
The Role:
The Senior Commercial Marketing role is responsible for independently managing the specified brand portfolio, identifying areas of opportunity and challenge, and providing course corrective recommendations. The role demands a high level of leadership qualities whereby ability to influence, collaboratively connect and motivate others behind department or wider company objectives is key.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Local Commercial Marketing
- Independently lead the local business planning process. Provide upfront input on local requirements and assess the relevancy of regional initiatives for the Irish market.
- Be proactive around the identification of local market and brand requirements across the portfolio via the use and collation of internal and external data.
- Set appropriate metrics & objectives and ensure that all activities meet revenue, profit, and share expectations.
- Ensure successful NPI launches and commercial strategy initiatives
- Develop channel specific strategies (mass, pharmacy, discounter, e-commerce)
- & secure optimized shopper marketing plans incorporating a master DDPP plan (display, distribution, promotion, price)
- Develop, adapt and implement key monitoring and evaluation targets
- Oversee local market share tracking and own proactive strategy adaptation
- Conduct primary research where required.
- Manage, challenge, and reconcile local budgets.
Act as eCommerce Lead
- Develop and adapt Ecommerce strategy for Ireland balancing resource and investment vs potential return.
- Secure “buy in” from wider team to ensure alignment around Ecommerce strategy and focus areas
- Adapt a “project management” approach to optimize processes for the compliant flow of information to customer base
- In conjunction with key NE stakeholders ensure J&J Ireland is ready for any changes in the market.

Professional Experience Required:
- Min 5 years’ experience in relevant marketing/ commercial role (will consider less depending on experience to date)
- Proven ability in managing complexity and/or change

Education Requirements:
- University Degree in Business Administration
Other Requirements:
- Degree level educated or equivalent qualification
- Highly proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Business Warehouse & SAP.
