Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for an experienced Senior Program Manager in the Johnson and Johnson Medtech division. This is an exciting role involving the integration of a new acquisition into J&J and ensuring support for their Quality Management System compliance to large MedTech regulations. This position requires a highly motivated, organised and process-minded individual, with strong stakeholder management and excellent communication skills.

As a Senior Program Manager, you will join Johnson and Johnson’s Emerging Standards and Regulations Integration (ESRI) team supporting the integration of standards and regulations for a key MedTech business, ensuring supply continuity to our customers and patients.  

The role is responsible for program governance, planning, execution, and leadership reporting needs for the ESRI Program. This role will work with key senior business leads across Johnson & Johnson MedTech to support the newly acquired company on their path to compliance and to build robust processes for adopting large regulations such as UKCA, Swiss MedDO and EU MDR as well as ongoing Standards management.

  • Coordinating and leading the compliance and integration activities for specific regulations by defining clear objectives, deliverables, milestones, and timelines 

  • Ensuring that projects and programs are proceeding according to scope, schedule, and quality standards

  • Using expert executive level communication, influencing, and leadership skills to remove ambiguity, establish clear actions plans, and drive alignment for decisions

  • Supporting the assessment and implementation of major global standards and regulations

  • Preparing and presenting impactful PowerPoint presentations that put forward proposals in a clear manner and aid decision making

  • Collating monthly updates and reports for senior leadership

  • Managing risks, mitigations and issues for the Program along with the establishment of a cadence of meetings for review and a path for escalation

  • Promoting a delivery focused culture, ensuring deliverables are tracked, managed and reported accordingly

  • Working creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence

  • Understanding interdependencies between project, operations and business needs

  • Developing a trusted advisor relationship with project and program stakeholders, sponsors and business leads

  • Acting as the deputy for the J&J ESRI Senior Project Lead when needed


how to succeed

  • 10+ years’ experience in Program management in a multinational corporate environment influencing or managing Quality, Regulatory or Business Transformation project teams and driving change

  • Recognised Qualification or Certification in Project Management is preferred

  • Master’s Degree or equivalent in Business, Operations, Business Strategy, Supply Chain is preferred

  • Proven experience in consulting, program/project management, business process management and improvement, gained from working in large programs

  • Require extensive experience in preparing and presenting PowerPoint presentations that include high-level synopsis’ of detailed information, business insights, strategies and recommendations to assist governance forums with decision making 

  • Excellent change management, organisational, analytical, written, conceptual, communication, and interpersonal skills while working in a dynamic, cross-functional team environment

  • Working knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g. EU MDR, FDA, UKCA, etc.) and their impact on Quality Management Systems and associated processes is a plus

  • Experience working within end-to-end systems and processes

  • Experience working across multiple time zones (global)

  • Confirmed ability to get results through leading others, organising, prioritising, and delegating workload is required

  • Outstanding organisational leadership – skilled at people leadership and/or organisational change 

  • Outstanding ability to collaborate with peers, leaders, and senior executives to build and implement strategies and drive decision-making is required.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

  • Certifications: PMP, FPX, Lean/Six Sigma are preferred.
