This temporary job for at least 1 Year at DPDS (Discovery Product Development and Supply) TDS (Therapeutics Development & Supply) AD (Analytical Development) at Johnson & Johnson IM, will provide you a wonderful opportunity!
DPDS TDS AD is a Research and Development department built on several pillars that cover different aspects analytical development, including protein characterization and product life cycle management.
The Separation, Excipient and Cleaning validation (SEC) pillar provides analytical support to Johnson & Johnson IM’s commercial and clinical phase protein portfolio.
A (sr.) Scientist Biologics Analytical Development – Excipients needs to be recruited:
The department is in need of a (sr.) Scientist Biologics Analytical Development, N-glycan subject matter expert, to provide end-to-end analytical support for released N-glycan methods. The number of commercial products is growing and so is the numbers of released N-glycan methods that need to be support. Released N-glycan method expertise is required for different aspects of analytical development, think of method development, qualification, validation, documentation, transfer and filing activities. Next to this the need to support instrument maintenance and troubleshooting activities is growing as well.
In this role you will be working in the Leiden Separation, Excipient and Cleaning validation team and operate as part of the global analytical development organization. You will be directly responsible for the released N-glycan methods in our commercial portfolio for which you provide method training and troubleshooting support. Projects will often be high priority requiring flexibility and attention to detail. The focus will be on validating, transferring and filing of released N-glycan methods in accordance with ICH Q2(R2) and expand our released N-glycan analytical toolbox by developing new methods according to ICH Q14. Besides that, you will support separation (SE-HPLC, IEX-HPLC, RP-HPLC etc), laboratory operations (instrument ownership) and base business activities when urgent challenges arise and are expected to provide creative solutions to enable solutions.
how to succeed
Typically a master or PhD in Analytical Chemistry, Life Sciences or related with ≥3-years of industry experience
Hands-on experience with released N-glycan methods
Hands-on experience with HPLC based techniques such as reversed phase, mixed mode, size exclusion and ion exchange chromatography is considered a plus
Proven experience with analytical method validations
Knowledge of GMP requirements and quality systems
Interpersonal skills engaged in contact with personnel at all levels within the organization
Written and oral communication skills in English
Exceptional planning and tracking abilities with a results-oriented mindset, adept at managing multiple projects while respecting priorities and resources is required
Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills, combined with strong scientific and technical writing abilities are required
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced team environment and quickly acquire new technical skills is required
Experience working with antibody-drug conjugates is considered a plus
Pro Active, works independently, takes actions in case there is a problem
