Tax Planning Manager - Consumer Health, Wokingham

Full time 12 month contract with the possibility of extension

Hybrid working - 3 days on site and 2 days remote working

The Role:

Supporting regional and global tax planning projects.

Embedded within the Consumer Health Tax Planning group and collaborating with teams across the organization at multiple levels. Unique opportunity to gain broad experience of the operating models, strategies and activities across functional areas.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Consumer Health separation related project support;
  • Assistance with intercompany price setting process;
  • Affiliate profitability reviews;
  • Maintenance of financial flows repository;
  • Review of inter-company relationships and cross-charges;
  • Effective tax rate forecasts and analyses;
  • Substance reviews;
  • Data analysis and gathering across functions (e.g. supporting tax audit work);
  • Preparation of presentation materials, training materials, standard procedures and knowledge-sharing materials;
  • Management of external advisors including PO preparation; and
  • Other project support.


 

Professional Experience Required:

  • Qualified/Part-qualified accountant ideally with 2 years post qualification experience
  • Understanding of statutory accounting 
  • Time management and prioritizing skills are essential since you will work on several tasks at once
  • Sound knowledge of MS Office, especially strong in Excel
  • Keen ability to learn, analyse, and absorb information and processes
  • Proficient level of English
  • Sound knowledge of BW (running reports)
  • No tax technical knowledge required, but an understanding of US GAAP and statutory accounting would be beneficial.

In return for this role you will receive a very competitive hourly rate. A minimum 12 month contract & an opportunity to work with a Global Leader within the Pharmaceutical sector, Johnson & Johnson.
