The Opportunity:

We are seeking two highly motivated and detail-oriented Testing Technicians/Associate Test Engineers to join our dynamic Functional Testing Laboratory team. This is an exceptional opportunity to gain invaluable experience in the MedTech industry, working on critical mechanical testing for our orthopaedic products. This contract position, initially until December 2025 with the potential for extension, offers a unique chance to contribute to impactful projects and advance your career within a global leader.

roles and responsibilities

  • Precise Test Preparation and Execution: Conduct recurring product tests with a strong emphasis on mechanical testing, including static, dynamic, and torsion testing, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established protocols.

  • Data Management and Reporting: Support Senior/Staff Test Engineers by meticulously entering data into our laboratory management system and contributing to the creation of comprehensive and insightful test reports.

  • Global Collaboration: Engage and collaborate with our global organization, contributing to product testing initiatives for development departments and market releases, fostering a seamless exchange of knowledge and expertise.

  • Adherence to GxP Standards: Operate within a strict GxP environment, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintaining the highest standards of quality and integrity.

  • Method Optimization: Contribute to the improvement of testing methods and processes, leveraging your practical experience to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure laboratory testing equipment is maintained and calibrated in accordance with regulations and internal procedures.


how to succeed

  • Educational Background: A completed apprenticeship (e.g., Polymechanic, Laboratory Technician) is essential. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering) is also highly valued.

  • Practical Experience: Entry-level to 2 years of practical experience in material and product testing, ideally within the medical technology or mechanical engineering industry.

  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated experience in conducting material and product tests, with a strong understanding of mechanical testing methods (static, dynamic, torsion).

  • GxP Compliance: Familiarity with working in a GxP environment and adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Data Management Skills: Experience with data entry into laboratory management systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

  • Language Skills: Fluency in German is highly desirable, and good English skills are required.

  • Detail-Oriented: Ability to maintain meticulous records and follow detailed testing procedures.

  • Collaborative Spirit: Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and global teams.
