Imagine your next project working in the position of an Associate Scientist joining the Drug Product Development (DPD) team. You will play a crucial role in developing safe, efficacious, and stable formulations and processes. You will work closely with colleagues from analytical development to execute development studies.
roles and responsibilities
Execute day-to-day lab activities, experimental and analytical tasks according to procedures.
Act as an individual contributor and guide team members on techniques and tasks.
Recommend complex modifications to existing systems, processes, techniques, or programs for improvement.
Write and execute the practical part of study plans and reports, interpret data, and validate study results.
Communicate with scientists and discuss next steps.
Operate current laboratory equipment and instruments, transfer and implement new methods or analytical techniques.
Maintain certain lab equipment and train peers on its use.
Place orders for laboratory equipment in purchasing systems.
Advocate adherence to laboratory safety and standard procedures, suggesting areas for improvement.
Support accurate record-keeping of experimental data using the Electronic Lab Journal and verify entries from peers.
Interpret and carry out data verification for studies.
Manage sample flow (incoming, storage, and disposal).
Present results within the project team or DPD.
Explain work with analysis and conclusions related to assigned tasks through written and verbal communication.
how to succeed
Education and Experience:
B.Sc. (HLO) degree with an appropriate profile and 2 years of experience, or >5 years of proven ability and competent performance at the Assistant Technician level, or equivalent training/experience.
Experience with formulation development and BSL2 is an advantage.
Understanding of GLP, data integrity and laboratory safety
Knowledge of PCR and cell-based assays is preferred.
