Janssen Business Services, Belgium is looking for a Financial Analyst for the Controlling of Capital Expenditures (Capex) for R&D and to give financial support to the Senior analyst for Engineering & Property Services (E&PS) Beerse. T


he Financial Analyst is a key member of the Janssen Business Services Capex team, controlling 30 million euro capex investments a year for our R&D department and will both lead and partner in global and cross-functional finance projects. This position reports to the Finance Manager, is based in Beerse and will require less than 5 % travel.



Your function/responsibilities:


  • Assist in managing the capital expenditures for the different companies on the BE campus, with a focus on R&D
  • Monitoring and processing of compliant and timely Capex project setups
  • Responsible for the accuracy and timing of the fixed asset closing process for R&D as well as the compliance with statutory / legal, US GAAP and SOX requirements
  • Assist in the budget process for all Belgian companies and connect with all involved stakeholders
  • Give financial support to the business partner of Engineering & Property Service Beerse Campus
  • Manage and maintain the financial systems and procedures related to capex, looking for improvements and optimizations.
  • Investment deduction: Provide an analysis of the investment deduction during the closing period
  • Act as a subject matter expert towards finance business partners, project managers and other business partners
  • Support management during internal and external audit
  • Participate and take the lead in several ad hoc projects
  • Contact person for Facility Insurance



Your profile:


  • Master's degree in Finance or Accounting with a minimum of 5 years working experience
  • Strong financial, analytical skills, with good knowledge of systems (SAP, Excel, ...)
  • Ability to challenge, improve and optimize current processes, hands-on mentality
  • Engaged in building excellent relations with your stakeholders
  • Able to work independently, plan and prioritize
  • You are flexible, proactive, a team player and result oriented
  • Fluency in English (written & oral)
