Biomanufacturing Engineer (Equipment Engineer Cell culture)

In this role, you will execute routine and non-routine tasks, leveraging your subject matter expertise in equipment for projects, processes, and improvements.
roles and responsibilities
Work autonomously while collaborating with your colleagues in the Cell Culture Center of Expertise and in multidisciplinary teams to improve critical cell culture systems, ensuring quality (Incl data integrity), and drive operational excellence. Your effective communication skills will be vital in escalating issues and risks as needed. We seek a professional dedicated to maintaining high standards of efficiency, discretion, and independent judgment, all while helping deliver life-changing medicines to patients. Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) through regular reviews of deliverables and documentation of equipment processes and procedures; preferably on data integrity (ALCOA+) of systems.
Contribute to Asset Team(s) to maintain up-to-date asset data, swiftly identifying issues and signalling asset replacement needs and support the introduction of new equipment/systems.
Analyse root causes of equipment failures and inefficiencies by collaborating with Troubleshooters and Operations team to develop strategies that minimize downtime and losses.
Conduct Gemba walks to review the correct use of equipment by manufacturing operators, driving sustainable improvements in safety, quality, reliability, cost, and scheduling.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by improving documentation, creating training programs and promoting trusting and inclusive relationships within the team.
how to succeed
University Bachelor’s or Master's in Bioprocessing, Chemical Engineering, Microbiology or a related field
At least 3 years of proven experience in biopharmaceutical processing for a BSc or at least 1,5 years for a MSc.
Professional English proficiency (B2 level)
Knowledge of GMP requirements and upstream processing operations
Proficiency Levels: Familiar with MS Office, Teams, data integrity and various business applications.
Personal Attributes: Positive, proactive, organized, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Stress Management: Maintains calmness under pressure and demonstrates a high degree of accuracy and quality in work.

This role offers a very competitive hourly rate.
This contract will run until the end of 2025 and has a possibility of extension.
This is an onsite position, but flexible to hybrid work style too.
