This role presents a unique opportunity for someone (particularly recent graduates) with background in BIS, data science, business, marketing, engineering, technology etc., to join a J&J Medical Devices Supply Chain Continuity Planning team - supporting a fast-paced, complex supply chain transition project. This project is driven by an industry wide change (new EU Regulations) with aggressive timelines, unprecedented change management, and impact to our end-to-end global supply chain.


The role of the Continuity Planning team is to ensure that the Joints Supply Chain is ready to execute major changes either driven by external factors (such as EU MDR) or internal programs. The goal is to protect service and minimize costs. 


This position will providing a great opportunity to grow and develop understanding of large US multinational and work within dynamic project environment. The successful candidate will be given extensive onboarding provided in terms of industry, business & project, and access to senior leaders in terms of supporting the key decision makers.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Member of a supply chain continuity planning team leading project execution across a $4 billion global business (Joint Reconstruction, Power Tools, Shoulder reconstruction etc) 

  • Collaboration with multiple functions (R&D, Marketing & Commercial, Regulatory, Finance & Manufacturing) across multiple geographies (US, Asia Pacific, Europe & Middle East) 

  • Responsible for Product Cutover Planning, Scenario Planning and final stock build determination for parts of cadence of product transitioning to MDR (including PFR & Joints)

  • Key member of analyst team who will aim to automate and standardise key processes using Alteryx tool (training available) 

  • Partner with a TF Execution Lead to provide analytical support where needed 

  • Input to Business Regional Engagement (communicate to regional Supply Chain, Regulatory and Commercial teams)

  • Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level

  • Responsible for following all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices as applicable.

  • For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable

  • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures

  • Performs other duties assigned as needed


How to Succeed

  • Bachelors of Business Information Systems / Commerce

  • 2 years experience
