Position is responsible for supporting the Small Molecule and Partnerships & External Supply Team through the development and implementation of contract operational adherence and visibility capabilities with a fit for purpose approach that considers partner segmentation and account strategic prioritization. The capabilities in scope comprise of:


Major Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support the maintenance of risk assessment models

  • Support Partners’ operational requirements definition as part of the contracting effort, in collaboration with platform & sites leaders, source, legal, quality, and other relevant SMEs.

  • Support contractual standardization in term of Partner performance management reporting, productivity improvement and resiliency improvements

  • Partner with source and legal to further enhance the digitization of contract visibility including deployment and tracking of operational contract standards and upcoming contract renewals

  • Support the stage gate process to facilitate stakeholder inputs and alignment during supplier selection and contract renewals



Roles and Responsibilities


OPERATIONAL CONTRACTUAL STANDARDS (20%)

  • Support baseline assessment of operational and performance requirements into current contracts 

  • Support the development and maintenance new contract standards for operational requirements, data connectivity and performance management in partnership with Source, Legal, Platforms & Site leaders, External Quality and other relevant SMEs 

  • Refine and revise those standards as required to support digital efforts with external partners


PERFORMANCE, PRODUCTIVITY AND RESILIENCY REQUIREMENTS (20%)

  • Support definition of performance Management and reporting requirements for Partners and follow contractual obligations

  • Support the productivity and resiliency programs by developing appropriate mechanism to incentivize and track the relevant major programs in term of value creation


CONTRACT VISIBILITY (20%)

  • Further enhance visibility of contractual operational standards deployment as part of new contract pipelines (contract renewals and new contracts)

  • Partner with Source and Site leads to deploy visibility tool as well as associated review and governance 


NETWORK RISK ASSEMENTS MODELS (40%)

  • In partnership with Source, Quality, MAM, Planning, and relevant stakeholders, maintain and support segmentation tool to assess and monitor risk on our SM Platform and deploy the appropriate engagement models


How To Succeed

Advanced analytics skills and advanced skills on basic office package (excel, power point, words, outlook) 


Demonstrate ability to collaborate effectively with Platforms, Source, Legal, Quality and other SMEs. Be able to lead through the standards’ deployment and assure there is buying and understanding across all key stakeholders



Ability to foster effective collaboration with Suppliers through the implementation of standards, the execution of improvement plans and during effectiveness monitoring


 Engineering or life sciences


What We Look For In a Candidate



4+ of experience in the areas of supply chain partner management including solid experience standards definition with the business and/or contracting experience with suppliers (source/legal experience), data collection and data analysis. Strong excel capability is required. The candidate needs to have demonstrated experience to manage a large supplier portfolio in a complex and global matrixed supply chain organization. Experience is preferably acquired in external manufacturing or similar supply chain function.


Key Competencies:


  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required

  • A Master or MBA degree is preferred

  • Proficiency with supplier management skills 

  • Ability to work in a global, matrix organization: strong communication and presentation skills; ability to partner with and influence others without direct authority; build consensus and collaborate with people from different functions

  • Strong ability to see issues from multiple viewpoints and understand differing needs of stakeholders

  • Strong project management experience and process excellence mindset

  • Strong problem-solving skills, customer oriented with a pro-active attitude
